Case studies offer a wide range of real-world challenges and scenarios that reflect the diverse issues faced in classrooms, schools, and other educational settings. For those responsible for training educators, case studies provide a valuable opportunity to (1) analyze and understand the importance of meeting the needs of gifted learners, (2) explore common challenges within the field, (3) apply best practices in teaching, and (4) enhance services for gifted learners by encouraging reflection on educational beliefs and philosophies. By integrating case studies into professional learning (PL), trainers can deepen their understanding of effective teaching strategies and improve the quality of instruction for all learners. In these PL sessions, participants will: · Examine the key components of case studies and how they can be used as powerful tools for teacher training; · Engage in a hands-on demonstration of using case studies to foster professional growth among educators; · Explore effective strategies for trainers to integrate case studies into their training programs; and · Develop a tailored action plan for implementing case study-based professional learning in their educational settings.
